We recently completed a comprehensive repair project for a customer who had a slab leak under the garage and an aging, failing water heater. Here’s a rundown of the work performed:

1. Leak Detection and Repair: A small section of concrete was removed, and dirt was excavated to locate and repair a water leak under the slab.

2. Wall Piping Repair: Sheetrock was opened up to access and repair additional piping in the wall behind the old water heater.

3. Piping Testing and Preparation: Hot and cold lines were looped to allow the customer to repair the concrete and sheetrock before the final steps.

4. Water Heater Replacement: We installed a new 50-gallon Rheem water heater with updated features:

• New water and gas supply lines, including a drip leg and gas valve.

• Dual water shut-off valves for hot and cold lines, earthquake straps, bonding, an

  expansion tank, pan, and stand.

• Replacement of a small section of the flue.

Testing and Final Inspection: The water heater was thoroughly tested for proper operation with no leaks.

The project was successfully completed, and the new water heater and plumbing are now fully operational, providing a safe, efficient, and reliable water heating solution for the customer.
